Gift Ideas for the Booklover

ree

In Icelandic tradition, Christmas Eve is a time of giving, getting, and reading books whilst also indulging in chocolate. Sounds amazing, right? While we don't typically celebrate this in the states, buying books for people for Christmas is one of my favorite things (and getting them too)! Here are some new, or lesser known, books to include this year, along with some ideas for the booklover in your life.

New Books to get for Christmas

Below are newer or lesser-known stories that would make awesome Christmas presents, along with links and brief descriptions.

  • Storylore & Gustborn, by Mae Mckoy. Percy Jackson meets Disney princesses in this heartfelt fantasy adventure series.

  • Glass Across the Sea, Sara Ella. Cinderella meets Count of the Monte Cristo in a seaside setting.

  • These Hallowed Bind & A Curse Upon Tides, by A.M. Daylin. The worldbuilding of The Lord of the Rings and Ranger's Apprentice meets dynamic new characters and a love triangle that'll have you on the edge of your seat.

  • Truth Cursed, by Angie Dickinson. Everything you love about spy movies with a dash of romance and a whole lot of regency era/ fantasy worldbuiling.

  • Once Upon a Harmony Sophie and Maya Christani. High School musical but make it small town and Christian.

  • The Betrayal of Eden, by Erin Phillips. Count of the Monte Cristo retold.

  • A Sparrow in the Sun & Frost Light, by Danielle Bullen. LOTR worldbuiling with incredible female leads.

  • The Eternity Gate & The Immortal Abyss, by Katherine Briggs. Exotic fantasy worldbuilding and politics that will remind you of Star Wars with relatable, loveable characters.
